First of all, it is possible for your Sim to live at a store or restaurant . You can place a bed, shower, and source of food on the same lot as the store. I usually have my Sims live upstairs, but you can put their living quarters anywhere on the lot.
You still need to start out on a home (residential) lot. Then you can “Buy Retail Store ” as a separate lot then build a residential area on the lot. You can live on your retail lot, if you wish, but you must always own a separate residential lot.
Introduction. In Dine Out it’s unfortunately not possible to hire your own Sims as employees but mcrudd at the official Sims forum has found a way to at least create your own and use those. Be aware that any Sims you play will immediately loose their job and you need to rehire them.
While you cannot generally establish a residence there, you can apply for permission for Above Non-Residential Ground Floor or Live -Work residence. There are a few Industrial zones where a restaurant might be allowed and such a residence might be allowed (“bio-science campus”).
They also bring their pets there. You can ‘t actually combine the lots as a lot in TS4 can have only one lot designation. But you can ‘ stay ‘ at your vet clinic and treat it like a home buy adding items like the comment before suggested. Your sim will still need to have a residential lot but this could remain empty.
You can own more than one restaurant , so you could start with a small diner and later sell it, only to build a bigger restaurant .
You can ‘t own / run a bar in The Sims 4 . You can get behind a bar and mix drinks, but you won’t make any money from it.
Nearly everything in The Sims 4 can be sold in your retail store, meaning you can theme your shop in any way you want. Obviously you can run a Bakery or a Photo Studio, but if you want to get more specific and creative, you can do some really cool things.
However, even when a store is not zoned and permitted to be a living space, it also depends of the circumstances. Incidental or occasional sleeping is usually allowed, or at the very least, it is overlooked. For example, someone taking a nap at their desk is almost always allowed.
Comments Click on the workers lot and then evict them in the options. Confirm the eviction. Click on options and manage worlds. Save and go to manage worlds.
Players can own restaurants !
For a Game Pack, The Sims 4 Dine Out has a quality to it that could easily be mistook for an Expansion Pack. The wait for Dine Out has certainly been worth it ! I love the way that taking my Sims out for meals works and I love the challenge presented by running a restaurant.
You’ll probably be fine. I live right above the kitchen of a popular restaurant . Never had problems. I lived above a restaurant in Rittenhouse, but not one so busy I’d call it “extremely popular.” Noise and smells were the biggest things I noticed.
In many municipalities and states, it’s actually illegal via most Alcoholic Beverage Regulatory Agency guidelines (ABC) to allow a patron to sleep in your restaurant , or specifically, the bar. Allowing this sort of behaviour to persist could put the Liquor Licensee’s license in jeopardy.
TG’s right, you can ‘t force Sims to live on a community lot . They’ll generally stay as long as they can fulfill their needs and they don’t have a priority script pop up (work, giving birth, etc.).
