Ruth Hansom’s Million Pound Menu restaurant no longer moving forward. Ruth Hansom has confirmed her planned restaurant Epoch , which was backed by chef Atul Kochhar on the BBC’s My Million Pound Menu, is no longer going ahead.
Ruth Hansom joins The Princess of Shoreditch Chef Ruth Hansom has announced she is getting back behind the stoves having joined the team at The Princess of Shoreditch in London. It is understood that Hansom will oversee the gastropub’s new 30-cover restaurant space, which will open on its first floor.
The Million Pound Menu is a six-part series which is currently being shown on Netflix. A group of UK’s most well-known restaurant investors including chef-proprietors, hotel owners, VCs choose two entrepreneurs with a food, brand and investment plan in each episode.
Darlington born 24-year old Ruth is the youngest chef competing for the North East and is up for the competition. She has won a plethora of awards and as the first woman to win the Young Chef of the Year Award in 2017, she prides herself on staying calm under pressure.
