For 99% of America the answer is a huge no it is not worth it to stay in the Contemporary Resort , the Grand Floridian Resort or any other of the Disney Deluxe Resorts . They just cost too much. The average cost of a monorail hotel is $500.00 per night. That’s just outrageous.

Rack rates for entry-level rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort range from about $400 to $600 per night, but Disney sales can drop that price to closer to $300 per night certain times of the year.
The Garden Wing rooms at the Contemporary Resort which are generally seen as having the nicest views and the quietest position are 6116 to 6123, 6216 to 6223, and 6316 to 6323. Also good are 6107 to 6115, 6207 to 6215, and 6307 to 6315. They are waterside rooms which are a little nosier but still excellent rooms .

Contemporary – Magic Kingdom The walking distance between the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Contemporary Resort is only about half a mile. When lines for the monorail and ferry or resort launches seem to be never-ending, the walk to the Contemporary Resort will take less than 10 minutes.
We vote for the Grand Floridian . It’s more luxurious and the overall theme is executed in more detail. There are also more dining options here. (which is to be understood, the hotel and its design are much more recent.
