Regular admission to the Tower of the Americas starts at $14 for adults, but the Tower honors seniors and active military members with discounted admission of just $12 with presentation of valid ID.

The Tower was designed by San Antonio architect O’Neil Ford and was built as the theme structure of the 1968 World’s Fair, HemisFair ’68. It was named as a result of a Name the Tower contest created by the executive committee. 68 people submitted the name the Tower is now known by.

Riverwalk Vista is a little closer to the Westin but both walks should be safe , even at night . Stay along the river where the crowds are but even walking down Commerce should be safe . It is a big city so just take the normal precautions.
